Recruit Central are currently recruiting for a NPI Project Lead based in Stafford. This position is accountable for leading the execution of small to medium scale projects. As a project lead you will be responsible for leading high performing, cross functional teams through the process for each programme you manage. As a project management professional, you will assist in evaluating requests and establish a project management plan and use the plan to manage product delivery; plan and manage resources for implementing changes, on time, within budget by improving the effectiveness of project teams through the application of programme and project management methods, techniques, tools, and training. Provides expertise in specific areas of programme/project management processes to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective implementation.
In addition to leading projects you will be accountable for coordinating the efforts of the team responsible for processing engineering changes, establishing manufacturing effective dates and the timely scheduling of material to the factory, in relation to NPI programmes and projects.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Assists in prioritising projects based on impact and objectives.
- Project management of multiple small to medium projects
- Identifies cost containment opportunities.
- Presentation of weekly/monthly updates to management on project progress, risks & concerns.
- Team meetings, frequency as needed but typically weekly, for governing the projects.
- Creation of Project Plans and maintaining the plan schedule in support of milestones.
- Ensure functional requirements are aligned with the product strategy, project financials, cost targets and milestone/gateway schedules are met.
- Organization and facilitation of key presentations including Stakeholder Updates, Governance Meetings, and Issue Resolution Meetings as needed.
- Quickly and correctly identify problems which may not be obvious and solve problems by determining the best course of action within departmental guidelines.
- Builds relationships with other departments within the project team.
- Identifies trends and areas of focus for continuous improvement.
- Guide and coach both junior members of the project management team as well as global cross functional areas representatives assigned to the relative projects.
- Coordination of process changes (PC’s) or engineering changes (EC’s) related to NPI programmes and projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree or 5-7 years project management equivalent experience
Job Type: Full time, 12 mouth contract (potential to be extended or permanent). Hybrid, 3 days a week on site and 2 days from home.
