Recruit Central are looking for a Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) black belt, based in Peterborough. This role is Effectively crisis management, reliability issues which need to be fixed, understand root cause, implement actions. Working with both the customer and the suppliers to derive fixes to the solutions. It is an intense role but rewarding role as you do get variation working with any system on the engines. Working with customers and suppliers right through to the aftermarket on high value projects.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Leading significantly complex CPI projects to resolve critical in-service reliability issues
- Forming CPI project teams and leading project team members
- Launching project teams, using excellent project management to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects, tracking project status and results, removing project barriers, and developing team members
- Data Analytics - failure trend analysis and population analysis
- Coordinating the identified improvements with the appropriate project/process owners to accomplish the project goals
- Communicating progress of projects with appropriate leadership and teams and in some cases our internal and external customers
- Managing risk and ambiguity on a project while driving results through change
Skills and Experience:
Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

- Demonstrated excellent project management skills, an established communicator, able to influence, coach and motivate project teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Should have demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of other functions that provide inputs to CPI resolution, i.e., Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Product Support, and Operations.
- General understanding of engineering principles and diesel engines.
- Must have the ability to learn and execute data analysis (utilising excel, Power BI or MiniTab)
- Experience of 6 sigma tools and methodology
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business or an equivalent level
- Must have 5 years experience working within engineering
Core hours: 37 hours a week- Monday to Thursday 8:30-16:15.
