Recruit Central are currently looking for a Calibration Architect based in Peterborough. This role is a great opportunity to work within our clients product development team creating and managing robust engine calibration plans that deliver high quality data.
As a Performance Calibration Architect, you will report to the Platform Development Manager. You will have responsibility for manging the quality of our Engine calibration content through our rating development process and will be accountable for cross platform calibration content that covers our 0.5l – 7.1l products. This role is very heavily data, software and file based.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage and cascade the change management requirements into the calibration system/library
- Own and administrate workflow and identify the correct work package allocation for new calibration content, providing clarity on library structure
- Collaborate with Software tool supplier to implement enhancements to how we work
- Lead process improvement projects to drive best practices and consistent approach between all engine platforms.
Skills and Experience:
Required qualification/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an accredited Engineering curriculum
- Excellent interpersonal skills (coaching, communication, teamwork)
- Excellent problem solver
- Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
- Self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities needed to succeed in this high-pressure environment.
Relevant Experience:
- Experienced in the use of calibration software and tools (Vector work packages)
- Experienced in BOM management and structure
Desirable experience/skills:
- Experience in combustion, performance, and economy development of diesel engines.
- Previous leadership experience (direct or in-direct)
- Project Management methods and processes (6 sigma, 8D)
Core working hours: 8:30-16:30pm. This role is Hybrid, three days a week onsite.
